What started out as a childhood hobby has turned into an exciting business venture for Abby O'Neal, daughter of Scripted Studio owner, Carrie O'Neal. During her sophomore year at Miami University, Abby took a marketing course where she was tasked with building a fake business. Abby created a nail salon, and at the time, she only thought of it as a fun school project. Later, she fell in love with the idea of bringing this nail salon to life. Introducing Polished in Hamilton, Ohio!

From Dreams to Reality

Abby went to nail school to get her nail technician license while also finishing her business degree. She graduated from Miami University in May 2024, and Polished officially opened for business in July 2024.

“As a kid, getting my nails done made ordinary days feel magical. But over time, I realized it wasn't just about pretty nails– it was about self-care and nurturing my creative spirit,” says Abby.

Abby is all about making nail care a clean, fresh, and fun experience, using ethical, eco-friendly, and non-toxic products in her manicures and pedicures.

The Perfect Duo

Scripted + Polished is where a shared passion for creativity dances hand-in-hand with a pursuit of self-care. While both businesses are very different from each other, they blend and work beautifully together, much like the mother-daughter duo, Carrie and Abby.

Carrie has loved seeing how customer's nails are inspired by items in Scripted Studio — like a cool color palette or notebook design that is sold at Scripted Studio.

"It's been a way to visually bring the two businesses together," says Carrie.

TIER 1: Includes SIMPLE work basic dotting, minimal lines, stickers, accent nail design, foil, decals, chrome, etc.
TIER 2: Includes DETAILED work negative space, complex line work, abstract art, marbling, simple florals, modern French, etc.
TIER 3: Includes INTRICATE work detailed color blocking, scenic landscapes, intricate geometric designs, etc.

Shop Scripted Studio

Abby's mom, Carrie O'Neal, is also an artist and owns the boutique Scripted Studio in Hamilton. Polished + Scripted are connected, so you can check out both at the same time.

At Scripted Studio, you can shop an eclectic mix of stationary, gift wrap, cards and more for all occasions. Carrie is an incredible graphic designer, so a lot of their stationary includes her own designs.The boutique is vibrant with bright colors and a beautiful atmosphere.
