If you're looking for some of the best places to get fresh air and experience some beautiful scenery, the eight spots below are just for you. 

1. Rentschler Forest  

5701 Reigart Road | Fairfield Township, OH

This picturesque park offers over 400 acres of hiking trails, views of the Great Miami River, remnants of the old Miami-Erie Canal, a prehistoric Indian earthwork, a reconstructed wetland, and ample opportunities to for all kinds of outdoor activity. Its a beautiful place for a day hike— especially when covered in fall foliage. 

2. Bull's Run Nature Sanctuary & Arboretum

3909 Rosedale Road | Middletown, OH

Experience nature at Middletown's city park and wildlife sanctuary. The area was used as a grazing pasture for bulls in the mid-1800s, hence the park's name. It's a gorgeous place to visit in the fall; you can walk through the botanical garden, hike along Bull's Run creek, or utilize the wildlife and bird-feeding stations.   

3. Governor Bebb MetroPark

1979 Bebb Park Lane | Okeana, OH

Combine hiking with some historical flair with 262 acres of woods, meadows, fields, and streams at Governor Bebb. Visitors can find a number of hiking trails, a reconstructed Pioneer village, covered bridge, and creeking areas. 

4. Keehner Park

Known for its community events, like summer concerts and outdoor performances, Keehner Park is also home to some easy to moderate nature trails. Nestled along the east fork of the Mill Creek, the park offers a variety of creekside and wooded trails that are perfect for kids, families, or seasoned hikers.  

5. Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park

1763 Hamilton Cleves Road | Hamilton, OH

Explore over 400 acres of valleys, hills and ponds throughout this gorgeous sculpture park. Alongside 80+ monumental sculptures, Pyramid Hill also offers easy nature walks, a 2000-year old Indigenous ceremonial earthworks site, an 1820s pioneer house, and an Ancient Sculpture Museum.  

6. Black Covered Bridge

5401 Corso Road | Oxford, OH

Recognized as one of Ohio's longest and most impressive of covered bridges, the Black Covered Bridge also features a paved trail that is great for a peaceful walk in the fall. Admire the bridge's unique construction, as well as its surrounding nature along Four Mile Creek.

7. Harbin Park

1300 Hunter Road | Fairfield, Ohio

Check out some picturesque views of Fairfield from Harbin Park. Enjoy one of the many trails either on foot or by mountain bike with the beautiful fall foliage around you. 
 

8. Dudley Woods MetroPark
