Great Food, Brews & Rooftop Views
Find delicious food and craft beer at this brewery located in the heart of Hamilton.
Raising the bar on pub fare, Fretboard Brewing & Public House serves only fresh ingredients and a selection of award-winning beers. The restaurant and brewery was created as a collaboration between the Fretboard Brewing Company and Looking Glass Hospitality Group. They both brought what the other was missing— LGHG brings the culinary skills, while Fretboard brings the great brews. Their collaboration of skills combined with the beautiful rooftop views of downtown Hamilton makes for an awesome dining experience.
Delicious Pub Fare & Craft Beer
The goal was to create a restaurant and microbrewery that offers something different than what other breweries offer. The menu highlights classic pub-style food with an upscale, scratch-kitchen twist. Fretboard Brewing & Public House is a great spot for lunch, dinner, or drinks with a versatile selection.
Customers will find more casual dishes like the Chicken Salad Wrap and popular Pub Burger, as well as other specialities like my personal favorite... the BBQ Pork Mac & Cheese.
Popular appetizers include the Loaded Hashbrown Squares or the Pretzels & Beer Cheese, made with Vlad— Fretboard's flagship beer, an award-winning light pilsner.
As for drinks, you can keep your options open with with 14 different selections on tap. Anything from light and refreshing to dark and hoppy, from pale ales to a range of IPAs. The master brewers at Fretboard are also always busying creating new flavor, so customers can find seasonal selections on the menu as well.

If you are into light beers with a refreshing, fruity finish then I recommend the Reba— a strawberry blonde ale with an awesome pink rosé color.
The large selection can make decisions extra hard for any beer-lover. If that's the case, order a Fretboard flight so you can choose four different 4oz. pours to give a try.
Not interested in beer? There's still something for you too, with a full range of freshly-crafted cocktails, spirits and wines. Any drink or dish pairs nicely with the comfortable atmosphere, and beautiful views from the rooftop.

The rooftop is a big hit in the warmer months, overlooking Main Street and downtown Hamilton with a great view of the river. You can even see the Sailors, Soldiers & Pioneers Monument.

The ground floor has a rustic, modern look and a full-bar featuring large brewery equipment as a focal point. It gives off an upscale yet casual vibe, with lively energy radiating off Main Street through the large restaurant windows.
The second floor serves as a more intimate setting and highlights a collection of famous vinyl records on the wall.
The first-floor is first-come, first-seated, while guests can make reservations for the second floor, and they are highly recommended. Rooftop seating is weather permitting and first-come, first-seated.
Fretboard Brewing & Public House says it's all about the options.
